Bike

Bike

Around Bormio there are the three great climbs: Stelvio Pass, Gavia Pass and Mortirolo Pass which are part of Giro d'Italia since many years and they're a goal for cyclists from all over the world. Although this area is famous for these climbs, there are also many others that are appreciated for example the climb from Bormio to Bormio 2000, the Foscagno and Eira Passes toward Livigno, the Fraele towers and the Bernina Pass. This is a heaven for every cyclist.

The area of Bormio offers several MTB trails, mapped with GPS and suitable for every level of preparation and thanks to the 600km paths everyone can have fun in a natural paradise. Walking through the thick woods, on fun Tibetan bridges, near the alpine ponds or close to the alpine pastures, will give you unforgettable days and close contact with the nature of the Stelvio National Park    

Sentiero Valtellina

It's a route 114 km long which connects Bormio to Colico, from the mountain to the lake. You can experience biking along vineyards and exploring the art beauty like Visconti Venosta Palace, the Virgin Mary Sanctuary in Tirano or the prehistoric cave art. Along the path there are 40 rest areas.

During the summer the ski slopes are transformed into downhill trails that constitute the Gravity Park Vallecetta. Parabolic and wooden structures, jumps, bumps...all you need to experience the thrill of a shivering descent!

The woods and the trails of the Stelvio National Park are ideal for enjoying nature and watching animals and plants in their habitat closely. There are many ideal tracks for all tastes: from families to more experienced mountaineers. During your excursions, do not miss a stop over the numerous huts, mountain pastures and farmhouses to enjoy fresh and genuine produce.

In Bormio there are lot of open space where you can climb with different difficulties depending on the degree of training. Near Bormio we can find the natural cliff of Bagni Vecchi and Cancano, while in Santa Caterina Valfurva you can hike the "13 Cime" .

Not far from Bormio lies the glacier of Stelvio, the largest in Europe, offering the opportunity to practice alpine skiing and cross-country skiing even in summer.

Near Casa Margherita you can find 9 hole golf course, suitable for beginners and as well for regular players.The project is designed by architect Mario Verdieri of St.Moritz, which is inspired by the principle of maximum respect for the original shape of the ground. The trail is exposed to the south and enjoys a beautiful view of the summits of Magnificent Earth.

Skating

Even during the summer you can experience the drunkenness of ice skating. At the Ice Palace, an indoor facility, you can have fun and refresh yourself even on warmer days.

The red Bernina Express

Since 2008 has been part of the Unesco World Heritage. The departure station is in Tirano, in Italy and the the famous red trains reaches St. Moritz, in Switzerland. This is the highest train route in the Alps. It's a spectacular journey for adults and children in a unique landscape, an opportunity you shouldn't miss!
