How to reach Bormio by car:

• From Milan: Cinisello exit on North ring-road, express road from Lecco to Colico, SS 38 to Sondrio, Tirano, Bormio.
• From Brescia: A4 Motorway, exit Brescia Ovest, direction Lago d’Iseo, SS42 Breno, Edolo, SS 39 to Aprica, Tirano; SS 38 to Bormio.
• From Bergamo: Express road SS 342 to Cisano Bergamasco (17 km approx.), then SS 639 for 10 km to Lecco. Then proceed on express road to Colico, SS38 to Sondrio, Tirano, Bormio.
• From Zurich (CH): Chur – Klosters (Vereina car train) – Zernez – Munt la Schera Tunnel – Livigno – Bormio. Only in summer there is another option: Zurich (CH)- Chur – Julier Pass (open all year round) – Forcola Pass – (open only in summer) – Livigno – Bormio.
• From Munich (D): Garmisch Partenkirchen – Landeck – Zernez (CH) – Munt la Schera Tunnel – Livigno – Bormio.

IMPORTANT: During the winter season, some Alpine passes (Stelvio, Gavia and Forcola) are closed. Please beware of road indications given by satellite navigation systems in that they do not take such closures into account. Before travelling it is recommended to verify that the alpine passes and the Munt La Schera Tunnel are open, and that there are no weather or other restrictions on your proposed route.

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT:

• By train from Milan to Lecco-Colico-Sondrio-Tirano (with Trenitalia trains). From Tirano you can reach Bormio using a taxi or the local bus service. (Timetable and services on page www.busperego.com
• From Switzerland you can reach Tirano by taking the RhB Railway line (small red train) and then proceed to Bormio using the local bus service.
• For guests arriving at the airport of Milan Malpensa, Orio al Serio or Munich, during the winter season, there is a bus service to Bormio. For information and reservation: www.mtbus.it
